We couldn’t afford to send the kids to the fair this year (although our pastors later came through with free tickets!), so we planned our own “Backyard fair” and invited a few friends to come over, play games, get sticky, run through the rain, and jump around in the back of the truck to really loud music. 17 kids, 24 caramel apples, 2 bales of hay, and a big bowl of whatever that purple stuff Hannah brought was… it was a hoot.
